ProSport Wellness

In May of 2009 several of BrandLabs' medical clients with offices throughout the five boroughs and specialties ranging from physical therapy to internal medicine and cardiology were joined under a single umbrella to market their services to the extreme sports communities of the tri-state area. Thus ProSport Wellness was born and launched at the first in history Maloof Money Cup NYC where PSW was positioned as the official first aid and medical team. BrandLabs comissioned NYC skateboarding stars to represent PSW at Maloof. Furthermore, considering the skateboarding community demographics we joined forces with MetroPlus - a subsidized medical insurance provider. The PSW launch was a tremendous success which immediately placed the brand in the hearts and minds of NYC skateboarders, skate fans and their families. Today PSW is the authority on all medical related issues for this community - from daily medical advice to first aid support at every skateboarding event in NYC.

Maloof Money Cup 2011

For the second year, world famous skateboarding competition Maloof Money Cup came to New York City and for the second time BrandLabs brought ProSport Wellness to its sidelines. As we conceived the ProSport Wellness brand in time for last year’s Cup, the goal this year was to raise awareness of the company’s services within the skateboarding community. We teamed up with well-known skate crew 5BORO NYC and contracted their team member Danny Falla to represent ProSport in the Deck A Day Giveaway, designed to grow brand awareness via PSW’s social media outlets. Visitors who stopped by the booth collected stickers imprinted with the PSW hotline number for their skateboards while thousands in the stands watched as pro skateboarders like Sierra Fellers were injured and carried over to the PSW team of doctors for medical care. By the end of the second day, all 10,000 stickers had been snatched up, resulting in direct contact with over 3000 people. Traffic to the website tripled while the number of Facebook fans shot to over 200 in 3 days and glistened with endorsements from industry leaders like Steve Rodriguez of 5BORO and pro skateboarder Billy Rohan. Most importantly, the foundation BrandLabs set out to lay, “go to ProSport Wellness for medical help,” was heard loud and clear by New York City’s skateboarding community.
